July 16, 2003 - My second time seeing Cats live, at Music Circus in Sacramento.
Again, I was excited to see Cats! Music Circus had just opened this new theatre recently: they had a tent before. It was very different from the usual performances. The stage was circular and the seating went all the way around. The Cats came from down the isles and up threw props on stage (such as big chinese food boxes). This performance was awesome though! When they first came out, they had goggles or glasses on that glowed and were like the Cats eyes. There are so many things I would like to describe, but I don't think I will. One thing though, that I thought was very cute: During "Magical Mr. Mistoffelees", Rum Tum Tugger takes Misto's jacket so he can dance and puts it around Bombalurina's shoulders! I just found that VERY adoreable since I have never seen it before. Another thing, before one of the dance numbers, Old Deuteronomy is sitting there, and Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer came running out giggling and playing, then stopped when they saw Deuteronomy. Their expressions were fabulous. Afterwords, I met MANY of the cast members...more so than in San Francisco, but I regret to say that I did not get any pictures:( - no camera. I did, however, meet Ken Page!! That was so exciting! He was the one I wanted to meet and get an autograph from the most. I also got a hug from him. That made my day!:D These are the performers I got autographs from:
Navida Stein (Jennyanydots)
Lindsay Dunn (Victoria)
Megan Hart (Bombalurina)
Ken Page!!!! (As you all know: Old Deuteronomy)
Michelle Pruiett (Rumpelteazer) <-- she was VERY sweet. She said she could hear me an dmy friends screaming, 'cause we were screaming the loudest
Jordan Bass (Pouncival - who was the cutest of all!!)
Danny Bergold (Skimbleshanks)
Richard Bulda (Macavity)
Michael McGurk (Mistoffelees)
Jacquelyn Piro (Grizabella)
Lauren Masiello (Sillabub)
Jeffry Denman (Munkustrap
I cannot express how happy I was too meet all of them, especially Ken Page. I will definately have to see Cats again!
