Rumpelteazer's ears perked up when she heard movement outside, but she stayed where she lay. Within seconds, the rug moved and in popped satin and black kittens.
'Jemima! Sillus!' Demeter and Munkustrap embraced them close and covered them with kisses.
'Where?!?' They heard the deep female voice, agitated outside.
'In t'are.' Bombalurina leapt through the hole.
'Jemima!' The older of the two kittens turned and ran to the sating Queen. 'Thank Heaviside you're ok!' Teazer finally got up to look around. When she found the orange and black tabbied fur, she leapt.
'Well, 'ello t'are, buteiful.' Mungo smiled at her and then kissed her. After they fainished laughing, Teazer stood up and looked outside. When she saw what was unexpected, her jaw dropped.
'What is it, Teazah?'
'When ya left, 'twere clear. Now look a' it!' The fog had repositioned around the Yard and snow began to fall again. Mungojerrie shrugged.
'Ta storm just took a li'ol break.' Rumpelteazer didn't know what to make of it. She didn't have time to think of it though, because the Conjurer appeared from around the car. She ran to greet her friend, but saw the hurt in his eyes.
'Misto, what's wrong?' Mistoffelees walked passed her without a word towards his den. The orange tabbied Queen looked to her mate for an answer.
'Uh...'e found somet'in, uh, Fombulabri and Pouncival were...a li'ol close.' Teazer put up her paws, not wanting to hear anymore. Munkustrap and Demeter crawled out with Sillus and Bombalurina followed with Jemima. The five watched as Jellicles sauntered out into the open. Plato walked out, arms wrapped around Victoria. Electra and Admetus came out, tripping over one another. Blaizerette and Etcetera followed behind Jellylorum and Jennyanydots. Pouncival followed close behind, trying to catch Etcetera's tail. Blaize giggled helplessly, then scowled that Etcetera was getting attention from the Tom she admired, but didn't even care! As if she heard theses thoughts, the white tabby turned around and jumped on Pouncival. They rolled and pretended to growl at one another. Jellylorum grabbed the two and set them in front of her.
The Jellicles gathered around Munkustrap to inform him that their loved ones were back and safe. Plato just nodded and earned one back from the Keeper of the Kittens. And continued with the white Queen.
'Eletera's back!' Admetus elled joyfully, though he was right in front of the silver and black tabby. Munkustra, along with Demeter, covered his ears and flinched.
'All right, all right! That's good.' He smiled at the rust tabbied kitten and kissed her on the forehead. Admetus bounced around anxiously until Eletera returned her gaze to him and they skipped around like the kittens they were. Munkustrap looked around for the next informative return. Jellylorum folling behind Etcetera, scooped her up and carried her the rest of the way.
Etcetera inched herself comfortably into Jellylorum's arms and purred.
'Ass you can tell, my Etcetera and her friends are safe.' She smiled at them and turned to go back in the same direction she had come. Jennyanydots just shrugged and squeezed Pouncival beside her.
Blaize sat down. She looked around at the others and frowned. Not only was she the only one by herself, her sister was no where in sight. She stood back up on all fours when she saw Jemima slowly walking towards her.
'Oh, it's good to be home,' Jemima sighed. She looked up past Blaize.
'Look! It's Bri and Tammy and...' She stopped short as a look of bafflement adorned her face. Blaizerette turned around, grinning widly. She tan towards the three, not caring about the new Tom. Fombulabri saw her sister and ran ahead of the other two. Jafaun looked out of the corner of his eye at Tammy, trying to be discreet. She turned and pointed at him.
'Don't even think about it!' He shrugged. 'And besides, we're home, so you can go now.' She pause. 'Thank you.' He bowed gracefully
'It was my pleasure.' He turned and walked away. Tandilana turned, hiding a sheepish grin. She opened her arms to accept Jemima into them. Jemima whispered into her ear, but the sound of the storm picking up overpowered her, so she shouted it.
'So, what did you say to bring Bri back?!' Tandilana shrugged. They wrapped their arms around each other and walked towards the car and the other Jellicles, but they were no where in sight. They lept off to the car for shelter.
Inside, Munkustrap, Demeter, Bombalurina and Sillus lay entwined in each other on the seat with the odd wheel in front of it. Mungojerrie lay, holding Rumpelteazer close to him under the back seat. And Blaize lay close, but alone. Jemima crawled over and joined the silver tabbied Tom and calico Queens. Fombulabri and Tammy surrounded Blaizerette and curled around her. She jumped, but outstretched her arms and embraced the two. She was so thankful for the warmth that they had lost in the storm, but she was curious to know how it all had happened. They all drifted to sleep.
