Jellicle Tails

~*~Wounds May Heal~*~

The wind howling against the contents of the Junkyard awoke Bombalurina early. She tried to yawn and stretch, but Jemima had her front legs trapped. She smiled and kissed her daughter on the head. The black and satin kitten blinked and yawned. She turned to look up at the satin Queen. She pulled her paw out from under her, flung at Bombalurina, pushing her face aside. She smiled vengfully, and when she turned her head to Jemima, she was giggling. She grabbed her kitten's sides, tickling her ruthlessly. Jemima screeched, wriggling under he mother's grasp. Demeter jerked awake in fear. Seeing her daughter lying safely in front of her and Bomby and Jemima being the ones causing the noise. She growled playfully and pounced on the two Jellicles. Bombalurina stopped tickling the kitten to prevent the yellowe and black calico from getting to her ticklish spots. The three cats rolled around the car, clawing, biting and hissing playfully. They stopped when Fombulabri, still asleep unsheathed her claws into Jemima's dark fur. She whimpered in pain as blood dripped down the claws. Demeter immediatly wrapped around Bri, petting her neck, trying to calm her. Bomby hugged Jemima as tears trickled down the kitten's cheek. Bri's breathing became more steady, she retracted her claws from Jemima's side and she pulled her paws close to her chest. Jemima fell into Bomby's arms crying out loud. Bombalurina stroked her mane, Demeter joining her. The three jumped when the rug flew off and Mistoffelees leapt through. 'Somebody's hurt!' He cried out. He looked at them, then down to the satin princess' side. 'Lie down.' He commanded and Jemima complied. He kneeled next to her, put his hands over her puntured side, and the blue orbed light once again descended from his paws, healing it. He helped her up when he finished and planted a comforting kiss on her forehead. She blushed and smiled. 'What happened? Who did this?' The Conjurer asked. 'Bri was sleeping and I...' She stopped at the look on his face at the mention of the black tabby's name. 'Mistoffelees, your better!' Demeter said happily. He just nodded, not wanting to tear his gaze away from Fombulabri. Jemima snuck away and peeked out the window. She had heard, or rather not heard, the wind stop blowing and was now curious. The clouds had shifted away and the sun peaked out on the icey ground. 'Mom...' She called to Bombalurina. The satin Queen sauntered over and joined Jemima at the window. Her jaw dropped. 'Misto, I think we have something you would probably know about.' She urged. Finally, he took his eyes off Bri and walked over to the two satin Queens. He shook his black and white head. 'I don't know. How could it clear up so quickly?' He pondered aloud, knowing that they could not answer his question. Jemima shrugged then looked to go lay back down with Munkustrap and Sillus. She tilted her head when she saw that he was still asleep and noticed that all the Jellicles that were in the car were still sound asleep. Even after all the comotion they had caused. She shook her head in confusion, but shook it off and triled off to the silver and black tabby, 'I'm going to go find out what's going on.' He didn't wait for the satin and rust coloured Queens' approval or even their achknowledgement before he slipped through the hole and replaced the rug. Bombalurina joined Jemima and curled around Munkustrap.

The tuxedo coloured Conjurer's eyes jerked around nervously. He knew something was causing the wavering storm, most likely the two that had injured him - Macavity and Bacchus. He shivered when a breeze blew over his fur. He looked to the sky when he realized the clouds had reformed around the sun and the wind was picking up again. *All right, now I'm officially annoyed.* He continued to find Old Deuteronomy. The old grey Jellicle bowed under the wooden card he had found for shelter when the Jellicles' Conjurer trotted up to him. Mr. Mistoffelees bowed in return and joined Old Deuteronomy under the plank. 'What brings you here, magical one?' 'There is other magic being used around here.' He paused to see the old cat's reaction, but when he got none, he continued. 'First, I was taken from my den to Macavity's Lair.' He swollowed. 'That's when I was injured. Also, this storm, if you haven't noticed, Old Sir, is acting a little confused. I came to see if you knew the answer or any information at all.' Quaxo waited for Old Deuteronomy to become angry or sad but he just smiled. Misto was becoming aggitated. 'You are becoming very strong with magic. I think you need figure this out yourself.' Misto's jaw dropped and his eyes widened at the Leader's answer. 'Deuteron...' 'I'm sorry, Mr. Mistoffelees, I can not help you.' The Old Jellicle stood slowly and walked behind the garbage, leaving Misto completely baffled. He shook his head and a look of hatred consumed his face. Now Macavity and Bacchus were going to get what tey deserved. He was ready for anything at that moment, or at least he thought he was, until he heard simultaneous screams come from the direction of the car. He didn't even take time to think. He bolted in that direction - in the direction of Fombulabri.
